Our skilled nursing facility is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to oversee our financial and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing financial operations in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities:
· Manage and oversee all financial operations, including billing and accounts payable
· Ensure accurate and timely completion of all financial reports, including monthly financial statements
· Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to resident funds
· Collaborate with other department managers to ensure smooth operations and efficient use of resources
· Monitor and manage resident trust accounts and petty cash funds
· Oversee parts of the admissions and discharge process, including verifying insurance coverage and eligibility
· Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality
· Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or related field preferred
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility
· Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance billing and reimbursement
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong leadership and management skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to nursing home operations and financial management
· Basic computer skills
