Human Resources Manager develops human resources policies and programs and directs the staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee engagement, productivity, and company objectives. Manages key HR functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Manager develops and delivers internal staff communications. Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with vendors to provide supplemental HR processes and services. Additionally, Human Resources Manager maintains employee records of pay, benefits, accidents, performance, and other activities and files reporting required to comply with labor laws and regulations. Collaborates with leadership on special projects. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Human Resources Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Human Resources Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Overview:
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team. As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. This is a key leadership role within our organization, and we are looking for a candidate who can effectively manage and develop our HR team.     Duties:
    - Conduct all aspects of hiring; post job, review candidates, schedule and conduct interviews. Complete background and reference checks, offer job, perform all onboarding tasks
    - Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
    - Point of contact for employee relations, including employee concerns, conducting investigations, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary
    - Coordinate employee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
    - Administer employee benefits programs, including insurances, retirement plans, and paid time off
    - Ensure accurate recordkeeping of employee information, including personnel files, timecards, and payroll data
    - Implement performance management processes to assess employee performance and provide feedback for improvement
    - Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback from departing employees and identify areas for improvement
    - Stay up-to-date on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices
    - Complete HR reports such as ACA, internal staff reports, insurance census, EEOC
    - Issue Cobra notices for former employees as well as employees who go on layoff
    - Maintain compliance with regulations for daycare licensing, Head Start and AmeriCorps
    - Responsible for FMLA, ADA, Worker's Compensation and Unemployment

    Requirements:
    - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (Master's degree preferred)
    - Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management
    - Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
    - Experience with HRIS systems, GoCo preferred
    - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    - Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
    - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    - Experience in succession planning and talent management
    - Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
    - Flexible and detail oriented
