Human Resources Manager develops human resources policies and programs and directs the staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee engagement, productivity, and company objectives. Manages key HR functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Manager develops and delivers internal staff communications. Evaluates, selects, and manages relationships with vendors to provide supplemental HR processes and services. This role manages the employee life-cycle, beginning with recruitment and ending with employee separation. This includes onboarding, payroll and benefits, unemployment, Worker’s Comp, ADA and CT FMLA. The HROP develops and leads human resources practices and objectives in staff training, performance management, and employee relations and policy that support a collaborative workforce. In addition, the incumbent is responsible for general office and operations management, including ordering supplies, and overseeing vendor support such as the IT service provider, office equipment rentals, and general contractors. The incumbent will also provide administrative support to the Executive Director (ED) as requested.
