Key Responsibilities
· Administer on-boarding for new hires and employee orientation
· Post open job positions through HR portal and external job boards
· Process background checks, pre-employment screenings and check references
· Report workers compensation incidents and maintain files required by insurance carrier
· Implement monthly random drug testing selection
· Maintain HR portal with employee handbook and benefit paperwork, training information and employee demographics
· Setup and maintain employee email, MS Office 365 access, and access to company files on network drive
· Comply with requests from Division of Employment Security on unemployment cases
· Advise leadership on important human resource law changes
· Negotiate pricing for HR related functions such as payroll processing, 401k plan, drug testing, and criminal background checks
Payroll:
· Process bi-weekly payroll
· Record all payroll and benefit related accounting entries
· Provide employee hiring statistics for grant needs
· Assist management as requested with employee reporting
· Assist with annual workers comp and accounting audits

· Perform 401k compliance testing and routine plan reviews/analyses
· Oversee annual open-enrollment process
Accounting:
· Verify, code and submit payroll and benefit invoices for approval

Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
· Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in Human Resource management.
· 3 years’ work experience in Human Resources required
· Experience with Paylocity software preferred
· Ability to work with limited supervision, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
· Must be detail oriented and have ability to relate well with management
Other Requirements:
· Flexibility to drive periodically, adhere to schedule, show initiative, honest, drug free, positive attitude, customer service oriented, must have dependable transportation to work.
· Performs other duties as assigned
