Human Resources Supervisor administers human resources policies and programs and directs the human resources staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee productivity and company objectives. Provides day-to-day oversight of various human resources functions critical to the organization, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Supervisor supervises and trains staff that provides operational and administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, and other hr functions and programs. Develops consistent and standard procedures to process employment, attendance, and other records and to ensure accuracy. Additionally, Human Resources Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Human Resources Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Human Resources Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.     Ideal Candidate
    : We're seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will provide administrative support, manage documents, assist in recruitment and screening, and maintain employee records. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with a focus on confidentiality.


    Essential Functions:

    • Processes employment applications: duties include but are not limited to: employment verifications, personal references, other internet search programs as needed, work with applicant and service office to gather all information needed and creating and preparing applicant files.
    • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
    • Attends meetings and training as required
    • Maintains confidentiality of all client, staff, applicant, employment verification, personal reference and business-related information
    • Performs various routine clerical duties, utilizing standard office equipment, including: screening incoming calls; taking and transmitting messages; maintaining calendars; scheduling meetings; keyboarding information into databases; making photocopies; performing data entry; faxing documents; typing; and word processing.
    • Processes, receives, sorts, and distributes a variety of correspondence, deliveries, and mail.
    • Responds to requests for information from the public, administrators, and/or other interested parties; answers routine questions; directs visitors to appropriate locations.
    • Files documents alphabetically, numerically, or by other prescribed methods.
    • Prepares, reviews, and/or processes a variety of routine correspondence, reports, logs, information, paperwork, invoices, forms, agreements, flyers, brochures, invitations, and/or other related information in the assigned area of responsibility; keys information into applicable spreadsheets and/or databases.
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education and/or Experience:

    • At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED
    • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish/English)
    • Three or more years of experience in a general office environment, telephone usage and customer service required. HR experience preferred but not required.
    • Three or more years of experience with extensive data entry
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills


    Contingency of Employment:

    • Acceptable criminal history background check.
    • Acceptable driving record.
    • Must have a personal vehicle for business use.
    • Must provide proof of insurance on personal vehicle.


    Overview of Benefits:

    • Eligibility for health, dental, and vision coverage through an employer-sponsored plan.

    • Twelve days of annual paid leave (vacation) per year. Vacation accrual begins on the date of hire.
    • 1 sick hour earned for every 22 paid hours worked, accrued per year. Note: the carry-over cap for this position is 720 hours. Sick leave accrual begins on the date of hire.
    • Ten company-paid holidays per year
    • 401 (k) retirement savings plan. In 2023, SLR offers up to a 3% match to the employee’s contribution. For example, a 2% contribution gets a 2% match from SLR, etc. Contribution and matching to 401 (k) will occur after 30 days from hire date.
    • Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Chaplain Service provides emotional, cognitive, behavioral, and spiritual support.
    • Public Loan Forgiveness eligible employer (If you are employed by SLR, and meet the qualifying criteria, you may be eligible to receive student loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.)
