Human Resources Supervisor administers human resources policies and programs and directs the human resources staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee productivity and company objectives. Provides day-to-day oversight of various human resources functions critical to the organization, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Supervisor supervises and trains staff that provides operational and administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, and other hr functions and programs. Develops consistent and standard procedures to process employment, attendance, and other records and to ensure accuracy. Additionally, Human Resources Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Human Resources Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Assist applicants to ensure high-end applicant flow • Manage recruitment advertising to ensure applicant flow, cost effectiveness, use of Internet Job Boards, social media advertisements, newspapers, and other sources of applicants • Manage full-cycle recruitment including hiring, onboarding, and employee retention • Communicating and coordinating the handling of team member issues and concerns to maintain a positive work environment. Advising and counseling leaders on concerns and solutions. Must have the ability to make fair and unbiased decisions based on the facts. • Provide communication and interpretation on policy and procedures • Support Performance Management program including performance and merit administration. Train and guide team members on career development program  • Work with management teams to identify, develop, and retain talent Education and Experience 5 years prior HR generalist experience in retail or similar industry is a plus Experience with corporate recruitment Experience in Employee Relations investigations and solutions Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree with 2 additional years of relevant experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and resume database PHR and/or SPHR certification preferred Experience with HCM systems (Dayforce) preferred Required Skills and Competencies                                                     Strong knowledge of all relevant employment laws and regulations, including Wage and Hour, FLSA, Title VII, FMLA, ADA, worker’s compensation, and other DOL regulations Excellent understanding of a retail environment and its unique challenges Able to remain neutral and facts-driven in high stakes adversity and counseling situations Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, connecting all HR actions to business outcomes Ability to manage multiple confidential situations without compromise Strategic thinker that can create action plans to move from ideation to implementation Excellent relationship building and communication skills, connecting with team members from all backgrounds and education levels Excellent collaboration and consensus building skills with a focus on adding value to the business Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks for timely completion while demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing business demands Motivator and developer of employees in a high-stress environment  The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this classification.
