Human Resources Supervisor administers human resources policies and programs and directs the human resources staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee productivity and company objectives. Provides day-to-day oversight of various human resources functions critical to the organization, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Supervisor supervises and trains staff that provides operational and administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, and other hr functions and programs. Develops consistent and standard procedures to process employment, attendance, and other records and to ensure accuracy. Additionally, Human Resources Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Human Resources Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Supervisor - Human Resources Data Services
Supervises and mentors a team of HR data specialists, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities to foster a high-performing and cohesive team environment. Ensures efficient workflows and completion of objectives as they relate to employee data management, data review, approval processing, and reporting for all university employment related actions including appointments/reappointments, transfers, new hires, promotions, leaves of absence/sabbaticals, salary changes, position changes, and terminations. Researches and resolves complex system processing issues. Evaluates and makes recommendations to management for improvements to systems and processes that improve the customer experience. Responds to inquiries, resolves issues, and maintains relationships with clients from across the institution. Analyzes data and systems, prepares reports, and facilitates presentations for educational initiatives. This position requires a blend of operational expertise, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures.
Little physical effort required .Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
