Full-time: 40 hours

We are recruiting to fill a Human Resources Supervisor I position to perform specialized professional work in human resources administration activities of the circuit courts and the Office of State Courts Administrator. Work includes recruitment activities, salary administration, payroll issues, and human resources issues for the circuit courts and OSCA.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Independently manages a highly specialized complex program or project, with little to no direction. The complexity is reflected in a need for more sophisticated analytical methods and problem solving techniques.
• Coordinates activities with payroll designees on a regular basis concerning payroll transactions; assists payroll designees in resolving issues or problems concerning payroll.
• Provides professional advice to subordinates in the resolution of difficult problems and answers inquiries from other departmental personnel concerning procedures and policies.

Desired skills and knowledge:

• Thorough knowledge of the SAM II HR system.
• Considerable knowledge of policies governing leaves of absence and paid leave usage as it affects payroll processing.
• Ability to analyze position classification, payroll problems, staffing needs, and make effective recommendations.

Minimum qualifications: (The following statement represents the minimum education and experience which will be used to determine qualifications of applicants. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.)

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study or court management and three years of professional experience in a related field.
