Human Resources & Operations Manager
We are a reliable and honest accounting firm with the highest degree of integrity and values who will help counsel are clients on all of the accounting and business consulting aspects of their businesses.
We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Human Resources / Operations Manager to join our accounting firm to ensure we meet our human resources needs and the work flows through the firm smoothly while being the main point of contact for the client. The right candidate is process driven with high attention to detail and has experience working in a professional office environment, with experience in an accounting office most desirable.
Human Resources Responsibilities (50% of the role):
- Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations
- Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities
- Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keeps the strategy up to date
- Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution
- Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team
- Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently
- Maintain company organization charts and employee directory
- Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives
- Maintain HR systems and processes
- Conduct performance and salary reviews
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits
- Design and implement employee retention strategies
Process Improvement Responsibilities (35%):
- Develop, recommend, and implement plans, procedures, programs to enhance performance, service levels and cost improvements. Identifies opportunities for improvement through process reviews, evaluation, formulation and implementation of procedures and tools aimed to enhance efficiency.
- Define metrics in a rapidly growing and ambiguous environment and hold both internal and external teams accountable to results.
- Drive root-cause analysis of existing customer pain points in partnership with implementations and operations.
- Assist with the firm’s projections and forecasting along with budget preparation for all planning needs.
- Provide management with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key process-focused objectives.
Client Management Responsibilities (15%):
- Accounts Receivable Billings and Collections including, but not limited to, engagement letters and other necessary on-boarding processes to transition client to our platform.
The right candidate will possess a high level of computer skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and is skilled at working with and managing people with the following requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional office environment
- Excellent attention to detail and able to complete work accurately
- Organized with strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
- Passion for working with people and proven experience in a client-facing role
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents and situations critically and efficiently
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite
- Easily adaptable to multiple software programs
- Proven computer skills are required, i.e. data & workflow management knowledge
- Experienced with paperless environments
- Displays each of the following attributes - excellent work ethic / can do attitude / punctual / initiative / outgoing personality / pro-active / attention to detail / organized / self-motivated / finishing what you start
- Financial Services background a plus
