What is Neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback (NFB), also called neurobiofeedback, is a type of biofeedback that uses real-time displays of brain activity, most commonly electroencephalography (EEG), to teach self-regulation of brain function. Sensors are placed on the scalp by using a cap to measure electrical activity, with feedback presented using video displays or sound. There is significant evidence and research supporting neurotherapy for generalized treatment of multiple conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, autism, memory, cognitive functioning, and even sports enhancement.
