Hyperbaric Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients under the direction of a physician. Documents required treatment details including equipment settings, treatment duration, and patient response. Being a Hyperbaric Technician operates hyperbaric chamber and other hyperbaric support systems in accordance to all applicable safety standards and regulations. Performs cleaning of chamber and equipment according to infection control policies. Additionally, Hyperbaric Technician performs equipment checks and system maintenance. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hyperbaric Technician works under moderate supervision. Job Description:
This Technician position will be performing difficult and moderately complex engineering duties in a variety of field, laboratory, and office specialties in our Materials Testing & Exploration Section. This position will be working with a small team performing Independent Assurance and Verification sampling and testing on Construction Projects, in MaineDOT laboratories or at Contractor Facilities. Work is performed under general supervision.

To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
Five (5) years of experience in engineering –OR- an Associate Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and three (3) years of experience in engineering -OR- a Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related technical field and one (1) year of experience in engineering.
Preference will be given to those with the following certifications:
