Hyperbaric Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients under the direction of a physician. Documents required treatment details including equipment settings, treatment duration, and patient response. Being a Hyperbaric Technician operates hyperbaric chamber and other hyperbaric support systems in accordance to all applicable safety standards and regulations. Performs cleaning of chamber and equipment according to infection control policies. Additionally, Hyperbaric Technician performs equipment checks and system maintenance. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hyperbaric Technician works under moderate supervision.     Hyperbaric Technologist - 3010 WOUND CARE HEALTHPLEX - Kadlec Richland Medical Ctr-Richland(HR)

    Under the general direction of the Director of Wound Care, The Hyperbaric Technician remains responsible for administering hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy and diagnostic testing to patients of the WHC, under the supervision of a hyperbaric physician. (All therapeutic and diagnostic modalities will be ordered by the hyperbaric physician). Providence caregivers are not simply valued – they’re invaluable.     Required Qualifications:

    Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire 2 years Healthcare experience

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Completion of a formal Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program Completion of an Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society and National Board of Diving and Hyperbaric Medical Technology approved hyperbaric medicine introductory course Wound, Hyperbaric, or critical care experience
