Hyperbaric Technician jobs in Tampa, FL
Hyperbaric Technician administers hyperbaric oxygen therapy and diagnostic testing to patients under the direction of a physician. Documents required treatment details including equipment settings, treatment duration, and patient response. Being a Hyperbaric Technician operates hyperbaric chamber and other hyperbaric support systems in accordance to all applicable safety standards and regulations. Performs cleaning of chamber and equipment according to infection control policies. Additionally, Hyperbaric Technician performs equipment checks and system maintenance. Requires a high school diploma. Requires Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hyperbaric Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Hyperbaric Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Summary:
The Operator - Hyperbaric, in accordance with established standards of quality, assists the Wound and Hyperbaric Center team in the delivery of wound and hyperbaric care. Bears responsibility for the care, operation, and maintenance of the multiplace and/or monoplace hyperbaric chamber. Serves as a partner in the Wound and Hyperbaric Center team. Possesses advanced knowledge of oxygen handling, treatment schedules, decompression schedules, safety and chamber operation.Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- HS Graduate or Equivalent GED
Credentials:
- Certified Hyperbaric Tech (CHT)
- Basic Life Support Certification (from Red Cross or American Heart Association)

Location: St Joseph's Hospital
Status: PRN, Exempt: No
Shift Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Shift: Shift 1Shift 1 = Days, 2 = Evenings, 3 = Nights, 4 = Varies
