IRA Accounts Supervisor jobs in Benton Harbor, MI

The accounts payable supervisor is responsible for paying all invoices and other amounts owed by the University to persons or businesses. This includes supervision of several student employees to assist with organization, data collection, and data entry.

This position also serves as backup for the Travel and Expense Assistant.

Qualifications summary

Duties and responsibilities

Processing incoming invoices and non-expense report related request for reimbursement. This includes obtaining all necessary supporting documentation, including any required IRS forms and appropriate approvals.

This person is expected to maintain a process whereby committments to pay are handled in a timely manner as well as maintain a system whereby AP documents are available for future reference via use of Banner Document Management. This involves supervising a number of students who perform tasks such as data entry, customer calls, filing (document scanning and indexing) and other support duties as required.

Individual is expected to learn Universtiy financial policies and uphold them in performance of assigned duties.

This position also is the backup for the Travel and Expense Assistant and performs various administrative assistant duties as needed.

Supervisory responsibilities

This position supervises multiple students to assist in the performance of AP duties. This involves hiring and firing of student labor. Supervisor must maintain a work force to facilitate quality and timeliness in performance of job duties.

Qualifications

This person should be detail oriented. Processing payments correctly requires attention to detail.

This individual should have good organizational skills to stay on top of the various filing systems as well as keeping track of invoices in various stages of process.

The individual will be working on the computer most of the time. There are a variety of tasks that require different acess, software and processes on the computer. Good basic computer skills are necessary.

As with any job dealing with finance good basic math skills are necessary.
