The Position

Workforce Services Representatives provide a broad range of services in accordance with the Workforce Investment Act; assist job seeking customers and business customers seeking qualified applicants; and provide priority employment services to eligible veterans and disabled veterans as defined by the Department of Labor.

Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.

The Workforce Services Rep 4, Local Veteran Employment Representative (LVER), position markets and promotes EmployNV Business Hub Veterans programs and services including the Hire Vets Medallion Program, Patriot Employer Program, and Silver State Works. The incumbent is responsible for soliciting job listings for DETR's Job Bank to be filled by unemployed Veterans; developing relationships within the businesses and the Veteran community; and providing outreach in the community on behalf of Veterans. This job will consist of both office and field work within the community, so a valid driver's license or proof of mobility is required at the time of hire. Preferred candidates will have experience with connecting veterans to job opportunities. **This recruitment may close at any time based on the number of applications received.
