The Position
Workforce Services Representatives provide a broad range of services in accordance with the Workforce Investment Act; assist job seeking customers and business customers seeking qualified applicants; and provide priority employment services to eligible veterans and disabled veterans as defined by the Department of Labor.
Workforce Services Representatives provide a broad range of services in accordance with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; assist job seeking customers and business customers seeking qualified applicants; and provide priority employment services to eligible veterans and disabled veterans as defined by the Department of Labor. This recruitment will be used to fill an intermittent position for the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) in the Northern Nevada EmployNV Business Hub. This position works actively with office staff and businesses to fulfill their recruiting needs by reviewing and posting job vacancies, screening job candidates? knowledge, skills and abilities. They will assist with various business recruitment activities. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred, but not required. This position may be required to work hours outside of the traditional 8:00 am to 5:00 pm schedule. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of experience which included providing services to customers; reading and applying written policies, procedures, or instructions; operating personal computers to enter and retrieve data; and interviewing individuals to gather information; OR a Bachelors degree in social or behavioral science, business administration, or related field; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprint is required. Person's offered employment in this position will be required to pay for the fingerprinting.
