Position Overview

The Novelis Uhrichsville team is seeking an Operations Coordinator to join our team. This role will report to the UHR Metals Planning Lead and is accountable for entering and maintaining data that supports tactical and strategic metal blending objectives to support recycling operations. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe working environment by complying with policies and state and federal regulations; participate in monthly safety meetings; complete safety observations to support safety programs.
• Responsible for accurately entering daily production for machine centers within recycling.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve daily production to identify operator mistakes or inconsistencies.
• Schedule appointments for incoming and outgoing scrap, baghouse, saltcake as needed through the MPS, TMS and BEST scheduling systems.
• Serve as the point of contact for material identified as potential problems.
• Provide the Uhrichsville Recycle Operations with a daily schedule of incoming raw material shipments.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven ability to perform data-entry with minimal mistakes 
• Flexibility to multi-task in a quick paced environment 
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
• Ability to work any shift as needed to support our 24/7 operations 

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4-year College Degree in Business Administration or related field

Location Profile

Opened in 1985 the Uhrichsville facility produces flat rolled aluminum sheet. The rolling mill cold rolls aluminum sheet to a desired gauge anneals to temper levels and slits the rolled sheet to size. Employing more than 350 people the facility produces aluminum sheet for building and construction automotive distribution transportation and consumer durable applications.
