IT Account Manager establishes and maintains business relationships with internal and external customers. Develops IT projects to meet the business needs of the customers. Being an IT Account Manager ensures that IT initiatives are met in a timely manner and within a prescribed budget. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, IT Account Manager typically reports to a head of a unit/department. To be an IT Account Manager typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Facilitate the definition of project missions, goals, tasks, and resource requirements.
-Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between projects or functional areas
-Develop methods to monitor project or progress; and provide corrective supervision if necessary.
-Responsibility for assembling a work plan for project team to prepare their technical or functional design, development and testing.
-Work with 3rd party vendors if needed and coordinate between internal and external resources.
-Keep project system of record up to date with latest status of project, milestones, risks and issues.
-Leverage MS Teams to manage and file project artifacts, and maintain meeting agendas and minutes.
-Proficient in MS Project, Excel and Word, PowerPoint and MS Project.
-Ability to lead and control meetings with numerous participants.
-Evaluates alternatives and finds solutions using a systematic, multi-step approach.
-Consults and provides advice, facilitates discussion and resolves conflict; establishes trust; builds and uses cross-functional relationships to accomplish work objectives.
Past project management success, both in results achieved and in use of project methodology and tools.
-Pro-active in developing and implementing strategies that significantly mitigate risk.
-Ability to drive project team to think out of the box to identify and develop innovative solutions and solve problems.
-Recognizes problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent.
-Excellent communications skills with ability to deliver complex ideas/thoughts into simple, memorable terms that colleagues, leaders can easily interpret.
