Acts as liaison between users, designers, technical personnel, and vendors. Establishes work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for selection or assignment of project personnel Confers with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget Prepares status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required and prepares project reports for management, client, or others Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems Attends planning and construction meetings Coordinates technical aspects of information technology and telecommunications projects Meets with users to determine needs Establishes performance criteria, ensuring that customer and Health Services requirements are being met. Oversees all aspects of the day-to-day management of projects; directs the completion of milestones throughout a project including the work of internal and external sub-contractors such as cable installation, maintenance, programmers, etc. Interacts with intra-department and external vendors and customers. Maintains project information database for all projects and performs general upkeep of project information database records and reports Is primary contact to analyze needs of users. Follows up with users and expedites requested action when necessary. Meets regularly with IS managers to review current projects, priorities and problems. Participates in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for projects; provides conceptual estimates, feasibility studies, and cost estimates Researches and prepares various reports pertaining to operations, equipment, policies, procedures, and/or other issues, as appropriate Performs other related duties to support the scope of services Provides and promotes excellence in customer service for both internal and external customers
