We are seeking a skilled IT Administrator to join our team. As a IT Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's computer systems and networks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Confer with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements and at times solicit cooperation from necessary personnel to resolve problems.
· Stay abreast of advances in technology and evaluate the organization's technology use and needs to recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades.
· Manage floor backups, security and user help systems and develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery.
· At the direction of the IT Manager, evaluate proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements, and meet with appropriate personnel to implement and train employees on the new equipment, software, and /or processes.
- Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Implement security measures to protect data and systems
- Manage user accounts and permissions
- Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to resolve technical problems
- Develop and maintain system documentation
Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux)
- Proficiency in shell scripting for automation tasks
- Experience with DHCP and DNS configuration
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Understanding of system architecture and networking principles
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
