Summary
The Information Technology (IT) Manager is a new role which will be responsible for overseeing large-scale compliance initiatives, managing a team of three IT specialists, implementing new procedures, and pushing the organization’s department forward. This person will analyze current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. The IT manager will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our operations and a long-term impact on our overall growth.
Essential Job Functions
Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions.
Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs.
Provide regular recommendations regarding improvements for the company and its operations.
Review infrastructure goals and offer recommendations and execution plans.
Analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement.
Prepare costbenefit analyses when upgrades are necessary, and monitor vendors to ensure that they’re offering the best-possible service and value for business needs
Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed.
Ensure all operations are compliant with necessary legislation.
Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups
Chart and IT headcount plan for future growth.
Overseeing the annual IT budget and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
Required & Necessary Competencies
Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions.
Experience with firewalls and network connectivity troubleshooting.
7 years of hardware troubleshooting with laptops, phones, printers, etc.
3 years of experience managing a team of IT professionals.
Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Proficient in computer hardware, cabling installation and support, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
Management and leadership skills.
Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Highly communicative and builds rapport with others easily.
