    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Vice President of Operations – Asset Services has responsibility for providing leadership and strategic vision relating to capital investment and construction, equipment maintenance and reliability, strategic sourcing of materials and services, and engineering. This role leads the team responsible for asset services through deployment of operational excellence principles and practices. The VP is a member of Agtegra’s Operations Leadership Team and is responsible for developing and gaining strategic alignment across the organization in the areas of planning, safety, quality, efficiency, profitability, and productivity for the organization to best position Agtegra in its ability to serve its customers.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Partner with the executive leadership and entire organization to foster a culture of excellence in all areas of operational performance. Support Agtegra’s safety objectives through deployment of engineered solutions to address root cause, and to proactively address risk through sound design and installation practices.
    • Lead Agtegra’s asset services functions including Capital and Construction, Maintenance and Reliability, Strategic Sourcing, and Engineering functions.
      • Deploy appropriate operational excellence strategies to drive a continuous improvement mindset across the Operations function. Develop KPI dashboards and a management system for each function.
      • Manage Agtera’s capital project portfolio and budget. Develop and lead the project delivery process and capital strategy to support Agtegra’s core strategic pillars and execution of key business objectives. Lead construction activities for a broad range of capital build projects.
      • Lead the deployment of industry-recognized standards, enhancing maintenance and reliability processes to improve asset delivery and talent capabilities.
      • Lead the management of maintenance repairs, materials, and labor budgets across Agtegra’s four operational areas including Grain, Agronomy, Feed, and Energy. Manage and optimize parts and maintenance, repair & operations (MRO) warehouse inventory processes.
      • Develop and deploy strategic sourcing strategy for priority materials and services categories and manage process for selection of qualified suppliers.
      • Develop the Operations Engineering function responsible for equipment design and installation standards and specifications, technical problem solving, technical training and development support, and technical support of Operations. Partner with Information Technology to execute Agtegra’s information/operations technology strategy.
    • Create and lead best in class training programs. Focused value-added innovation with a sustainability and future focused outlook.
    • Operate at a leadership level while managing a team and ensuring a high standard of execution. Continuously retain, develop, mentor, and elevate the operations and asset services team.
    • Communicate the organization strategy and its relationship to the business objectives and values; clarify the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibilty; motivate employees to commit to these and to do extraordinary things to achieve Agtegra’s goals.
    • Develop strategic plans and standard operating procedures for the asset services organization, including budget compliance in all areas.
    • Create a long-term innovation and technology strategy through understanding industry and market trends in agriculture and related industry, identifying and deploying technology to improve safety, enhance efficiency, and better serve Agtegra’s customers.

    • Manage equipment utilization and monitoring, ideally with farm production equipment experience.
    • Manage service contracts with internal and external customers (pricing, warranties, reconciliations, other key contracts).
    • Experience identifying waste/shrink and proposing improvements.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, challenges and projects.
    • Experience driving change, process improvements, transformation across operation and services environments.
    • Results/action oriented with assertive, confident, proactive leadership style.
    • Champion customer service through focus and operational excellence.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
    • English Proficiency
    • Must be 18 years or older.
    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Mechanical, Agricultural, Chemical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 12 years experience in manufacturing or agriculture operations required. Strong background in project management, reliability-centered maintenance, sourcing, and engineering preferred.
    • 8 years leading teams including operations and maintenance personnel, project managers, engineers, and/or hourly employees.
    • Operational Excellence experience such as Lean-Six Sigma certification or related experience preferred.
    • MBA or strong agriculture business background preferred.
