IT Asset Manager manages the operations of the IT asset and inventory management function. Manages the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software. Being an IT Asset Manager minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime. Additionally, IT Asset Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Asset Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Asset Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. IT Manager of Infrastructure and Security

  • OVERVIEW:

    Working under the supervision of the IT Director, the IT Manager will be responsible for the company’s infrastructure including networks, server infrastructure, end-user computing, and cyber security. The role will be responsible for multiple locations in the US and New Zealand. Role will be required to take direction and work intuitively to support the completion of the department’s goals and objectives in a professionally and culturally appropriate manner.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    · Maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including systems software, applications software, hardware, and configurations.

    · Performing disaster recovery operations and data backups when required.

    · Protecting data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning, and implementing network security measures.

    · Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.

    · Replacing faulty network hardware components when required.

    · Maintaining, configuring, and monitoring virus protection software and email applications.

    · Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.

    · Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems. Experience with WireShark and wireless survey tools like Ekahau.

    · Operating master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.

    · Coordinating computer network access and use.

    · Designing, configuring, and testing networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software.

    · Data center/closet design and cabling.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    · Minimum associate degree in information technology or related field, with a CCNA or CCNP certification preferred.

    · Preferred candidate with a bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field of study with a network engineering focus.

    · Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.

    · Network security experience.

    · LAN and WAN experience.

    · Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.

    · Knowledge of Microsoft O365 cloud environments and security.

    · Understanding of system-to-system integrations.

    · Experience managing technology vendors, including ensuring accountability to service levels.

    · Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewall, routers, switches, controllers.

    · Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.

    · Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.

    · Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.

    · Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.

    · Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.

    · A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.

    · Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

    · Dependable and flexible when necessary.

    · Some travel estimated at approximately 10% within the US.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    · Moderate noise typical of an office setting such as computers, printers, phones, and light customer traffic.

    · Occasional requirement to work on work sites in an outdoor setting.
