Responsibilities of the Affordable Housing Development/Asset Manager:
· Coordinate investment decisions, design and the ongoing property management and related vendor contracts, directing and delegating responsibilities.
· Focus on identifying opportunities and research, negotiate, implement, and manage acquisition of new properties and disposition of existing properties.
· Negotiate purchase and sale agreements , and provide due diligence of the financial aspects of the project through fiscal draw processing, including grants, loans & tax credits, rental assistance contracts, and other subsidies.
· The ability to develop feasible financial models, including operating pro-formas and a desire to learn about the affordable housing market.
Desired Qualifications of the Affordable Housing Development/Asset Manager:
· A solid foundation in affordable housing, development, and management of preferably multi- family housing projects
· 3 or more years’ experience in the real estate related industry with emphasis on development and asset management activities
· An understanding of the financial aspects of these projects and experience negotiating and executing complex transactions.
· Supervisory experience: the ability to negotiate, develop rapport and delegate appropriately aspects of these tasks to your team
· A BS or BA in a related field desired but not required
Starting Annual Salary for the Affordable Housing Development/Asset Manager: starts up to $87,000
