IT Capacity Planner evaluates the organization's data processing and storage needs and develops long-term plans to meet business requirements. Implements policies for network storage system troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance. Being an IT Capacity Planner documents problems and solutions and serves as the point of contact for network capacity related issues. Allocates storage space, plans for future projects or acquisitions, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup models. Additionally, IT Capacity Planner may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. To be an IT Capacity Planner typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     We are seeking experienced and motivated Senior Planner to join our Team. This is an exceptional opportunity to become a key member of our highly qualified, collaborative, and motivated building inspection team
     
    Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
    • Processing development entitlement applications
    • Updating zoning code and development standards
    • Assisting with or completing planning studies
    • Overseeing CEQA review of projects, possibly including preparing IS/MND’s
    • Generally supporting local agency planning departments
    • Advance/policy planning, state and federal permitting procedures and compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) may all be required.
    • Experience working for a city or county planning agency in California (as staff or consultant) with experience processing moderately complex to complex development applications is required.
    We are looking for individuals who:
    • Can work independently and have strong customer service skills.
    • Have excellent oral and written communication skills for preparing and presenting planning reports and projects
    • Are creative problem-solvers
    • Can work on several projects or issues simultaneously
    • The ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines
    Education:
    • Graduation from a recognized College or University with a Bachelor’s degree in planning, landscape architecture, public administration, geography, architecture, civil engineering, environmental sciences, or a closely related field and 7 years’ experience with substantial work in California planning agencies.
    Salary Range: $90,000 - $112,000
