IT Capacity Planner jobs in Poughkeepsie, NY

Intelligent IT Designs engages with business owners to identify opportunities to better utilize technology to increase security, improve efficiency, gain a competitive advantage and reduce operational cost. Our assessments result in improvements to technology that once implemented, we then continue to manage and support for the business owner.

Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support to stakeholders for hardware, software, and network-related issues

- Secure desktop, network and server environments

- Perform server, network and cloud migrations

- Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems and software applications

- Set up and maintain computer networks, including LAN and VPN connections

- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability

- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues

- Maintain accurate documentation of IT support activities

- Assist in the procurement and setup of new IT equipment

Experience:

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT support

- Proficiency in Windows Server administration and troubleshooting

- Experience working with Microsoft 365 and Azure

- Experience with Meraki, SonicWall and Unifi networking equipment is preferred

- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line interface

- Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)

- Experience with ticketing systems for issue tracking

- Ability to provide support for both Windows and Mac OS environments

Skills:

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think analytically

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
