IT Capacity Planner, Sr. evaluates the organization's data processing and storage needs and develops long-term plans to meet business requirements. Implements policies for network storage system troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance. Being an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. documents problems and solutions and serves as the point of contact for network capacity related issues. Allocates storage space, plans for future projects or acquisitions, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup models. Additionally, IT Capacity Planner, Sr. may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. To be an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Reporting to the Director, IT, Retail Finance Services & Apps this role is a key member of the Retail Finance and Finance Services group, which will support multiple project teams to ensure that business requirements are well defined and reflect the needs of our Business Partners. This role will work cross-functionally and will support all of Nutrien's Business Units.

    What you will do:

    • Actas a Liaison between IT and our Business Partners to uphold a clear understanding of requirements and to ensure functional deliverables align with the clients' needs.
    • Analyzes stakeholder's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
    • Elicitation and delivery of clear, detailed, unambiguous business requirements and solution specifications.
    • Ability to become a High-Level Subject Matter Resource for the applications being supported by the group.
    • Facilitation of requirements gathering and solution design through interviews, existing documentation analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, and business process modeling.
    • Critical evaluation of information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposition of high-level information into details and managing scope creep in partnership with the Business Partners.
    • Proactive communication and collaboration with external and internal stakeholders to develop: Business Cases, Objective Models, Business Requirements Documentation and Mapping, Data Dictionary, Use Cases, Process Flows, Report design, Test Plans, Defect / Enhancement tracking, Business Process Procedures (BPPs).
    • Successful engagement in multiple project initiatives simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
    • Working independently with stakeholders, as well as under the direction of BRMs and project managers in a team environment.
    • Producedeliverables according to standard templates appropriate for project scale.
    • Collaboration with developers, vendors and subject matter experts to establish the operational vision and to perform a gap analysis.
    • Assist in user acceptance testing, test planning, development of test cases and test execution management to ensure alignment with original requirements.

    What you will bring:

    • A background of 6 to 8 years of practical experience in business analysis and processes.
    • Financial designation or strong Financial background.
    • A professional degree or a combination of education and experience may also be considered.
    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) designation preferred.
    • Experience documenting the detailed requirements around complex reporting initiatives strongly preferred.
    • Competent and proficient understanding of a variety of technology platforms, including ERP's such as SAP and PeopleSoft, as well as current Microsoft and Internet technologies.
    • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with expert fluency in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
    • Strong negotiation, consensus and agreement building skills.
    • Previous project experience either as a leader or working team member.
    • Business aptitude for strategy and benefits realization alignment.
    • Excellent knowledge and experience with Business Process modeling tools and techniques.
    • Experience participating and managing within the governance structure of a defined Project Methodology.
    • Understanding of the IT Life Cycle.
    • Proven capability and experience managing requirements gathering initiatives across multiple teams and business areas.
    • Exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and facilitation skills.
    • Comfortable leading working sessions at both junior and senior levels.
    • Detail oriented.
    • An aptitude for teaching, instructing and mentoring.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, able to influence and promote cross functional collaboration.
    • Ability to partner with both technical and non-technical staff.
    • Ability to participate in limitedtravel when needed.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    $106,800 - $146,850 USD. This range is estimated for a Sr. Solution Analyst, IT, Finance in Loveland, CO. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

    In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our plan(s), which provide discretionary award opportunities reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
