IT Capacity Planner, Sr. jobs in Jackson, MS
IT Capacity Planner, Sr. evaluates the organization's data processing and storage needs and develops long-term plans to meet business requirements. Implements policies for network storage system troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance. Being an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. documents problems and solutions and serves as the point of contact for network capacity related issues. Allocates storage space, plans for future projects or acquisitions, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup models. Additionally, IT Capacity Planner, Sr. may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. To be an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. PM requirements:
- Sr. level - 8 years of IT Project Management experience
- Requirements:
- Banking PM experience
- compliance/ risk management/ regulatory experience
- (bonus) lending loan project experience
- (bonus) IT systems exposure
- PMP and/or Scrum Master certifications not necessary
- Lead 25(ish) person team
- Compliance, ETL, data warehouse lead, finance, developers, BA's, 3rd party partners
- Work with Business Analysts, stakeholders, and others
- Skills/experience
o Deliverables management
o Issues resolution
o Budget and timeline management
o working with many stakeholders and even 3rd – party vendors.
Compliance, Risk Management, and Regulatory experience are must haves
Technology environment:
- FIS shop
- API’s integration - Mulesoft/Salesforce
- Sharepoint, O365, Teams
- ServiceNow – project tracking
- Deploying interactive Teller
- went from waterfall --> agile and now hybrid Scrum
