IT Capacity Planner, Sr. evaluates the organization's data processing and storage needs and develops long-term plans to meet business requirements. Implements policies for network storage system troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance. Being an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. documents problems and solutions and serves as the point of contact for network capacity related issues. Allocates storage space, plans for future projects or acquisitions, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup models. Additionally, IT Capacity Planner, Sr. may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. To be an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. QUALIFICATION, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in the Information Technology field with five years of application development experience required. Experience with integration engines and/or Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tools and relational reporting tools are required. Experience with data quality tools and working with relational databases and programming concepts is required. Knowledge of major business applications, workflows, and systems required. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with company personnel at all levels.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Normal office environment with occasional travel to conferences, training classes or meetings. Utilize Microsoft Office suite to produce work related documents and exhibits with a strong emphasis on Excel. Able to use or learn to use any required integrated development environment (IDE) used to perform development work. Able to read, analyze and interpret instructions, procedures, regulations, manuals and other required documents. Able to communicate in an excellent manner both verbally and in writing. Able to practically solve problems and to develop the necessary steps to produce a usable resolution. Capable of interpreting both written and verbal instructions.
