IT Capacity Planner, Sr. evaluates the organization's data processing and storage needs and develops long-term plans to meet business requirements. Implements policies for network storage system troubleshooting, updating and general maintenance. Being an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. documents problems and solutions and serves as the point of contact for network capacity related issues. Allocates storage space, plans for future projects or acquisitions, reviews hardware and software configurations and makes suggestions for appropriate storage or backup models. Additionally, IT Capacity Planner, Sr. may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager. To be an IT Capacity Planner, Sr. typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Sr. Federal Planner with the potential to work out of our San Diego, CA; Sacramento, CA; Colorado Springs, CO; Denver, CO; Washington, DC; Kansas City, MO; Pittsburgh, PA; Tacoma, WA; or Seattle, WA office. Become an integral part of the Federal Planning Team and help meet our clients' objectives and solves their challenges while working with a dynamic and growing practice. Our expertise includes military master planning, programming, climate resiliency planning, zero emission vehicle planning, facility utilization studies, requirements analyses, aviation planning, munitions planning, facility programming (15% design), and DD Form 1391 development.
The ideal candidate will be an established DoD master planning professional with experience in a wide range of project scales and subject matter. The person who fills this position will provide project management and team leadership within the Federal Planning group for U.S. Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps clients, including National Guard and Reserves. The Senior Federal Planner will provide technical leadership for site analyses, data collection, regulatory document review, technical writing, team coordination, and client management. Efforts could focus on a single facility, a site, campus, community, or region. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams to develop accurate and concise written and visual documentation, implement best practices and will use established team guidelines for developing deliverables and will ensure that tasks are delivered with a high level of quality. Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $85,800 - $145,200
