    Position Summary:
    The Planning and Production Control Manager is responsible for mentoring, training, and leading the machine planning and production control teams to create and maintain robust planning control processes and achievable plans. Activities shall support company strategic objectives and Master Build plan requirements.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities:
    *Manage staff of planners, production coordinators and material handlers related to activities for multiple production facilities.
    *Lead team in creation and maintenance of work order schedules to satisfy Oracle demand requirements.
    *Participate in daily supply chain and operations performance meetings and clearly communicate any issues requiring recovery plans or corrective action.
    *Establish priorities for team members and hold team members accountable for performance of standard work, timely deliverables, and performance metrics.
    *Monitor inventory levels and material disposition and provide direct countermeasures for any shortages or over-production.
    *Review shortage lists and adherence to schedules with team members weekly.
    *Maintain safe operations by enforcing all safety, health and quality procedures.
    *Work closely with master scheduling and FG Planning to fully understand planned volumes to be manufactured to support the build plan.
    *Develop Standard Daily Work and train staff accordingly.
    *Work closely with production to understand manufacturing capacity issues and bottlenecks.
    *Manage WIP to ensure production runs stay on schedule.
    *Work closely with purchasing to ensure a continual source of material.
    *Assist in the development of processes to reduce manufacturing cycle times.
    *Ensure engineering builds are properly scheduled and completed in a timely manner.
    *Ensure timely resolution of any work order material discrepancies.
    *Identify any manufacturing constraints and secure a resolution(s).
    *Must be able to travel infrequently.
    *Participates in and sustains 5 S Standards.
    *Engages in and actively volunteers for Continuous Improvement projects/ tasks.
    *Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

    Education and/or Experience:
    *6 years of experience in materials / supply chain environment including at least four years in a Supervisor / Manager capacity.
    *Full working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, Oracle experience required.
    *Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing and JIT techniques.
    *Hands on knowledge of BOM/ECO/PLM process flow and execution.
    *Strong interface capability managing customers and internal stakeholder expectations.
    *Full working knowledge of warehouse operations, and inventory accuracy/materials control.
    *Experience managing and planning in a machine shop environment is required.
    *Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing requirements.
    *Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
    *Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal teams and external parties.
    *Actively pursues opportunities for learning and development of key employees.
    *Bachelor’s degree in materials/supply chain or related field and /or equivalent experience preferred.
    *APICS certification is preferred.

    Working Conditions:
    *Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
    *Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which is required in designated areas.
