IT Contracts Manager creates, writes, negotiates and reviews hardware or software licensing contracts. Works with the Business Development team in establishing agreements that reflect the interests of partners and the company. Being an IT Contracts Manager also works with legal counsel when drafting licensing agreements. Ensures contract performance and rewrites or amends as necessary. Additionally, IT Contracts Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Must have a solid understanding of web technology. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Contracts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Contracts Specialist

  • Our employee-owned and integrated team of multi-disciplined professionals is seeking a contracts professional who has five to ten years of experience administering professional services agreements and procurement systems.


    As a member of our team, you will work alongside the Chief Legal Officer and other experienced Contracts Specialists in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with architecture, engineering, and planning professionals in locations throughout the country to identify and mitigate risks and maximize opportunities during the proposal and contract negotiation process.


    You will primarily be responsible for executing TKDA’s contract administration process, including preparing and reviewing proposals, contracts, and other legal documents; assisting with contract negotiations; researching applicable jurisdictional laws and requirements; reviewing insurance and compliance documentation; managing a contract database; and communicating directly with internal and external stakeholders.


    Hybrid work arrangements (3 days in office / 2 days remote per week) will be considered for self-starter and self-sufficient professionals who demonstrate an ability to work, learn, communicate, and collaborate successfully in a hybrid work environment.


    Note: For this opportunity, we are considering qualified candidates that reside within a reasonable commuting distance from one of our offices in Saint Paul (MN), Duluth (MN), or Downers Grove (IL).

    Required Qualifications
    • Associate degree or certificate in business, business law, paralegal studies, or related field.
    • Five to ten years of relevant experience preparing professional services contract documentation.
    • Exceptional verbal and written legal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to recognize proper use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
    • Extensive experience and thorough working knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work independently and as a team member.
    • Strong organization skills and a drive toward results demonstrated by the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment; experience using technology and resources efficiently.
    • Experience handling and maintaining confidential information and documentation.
    • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Strict adherence to ethics and professional conduct.


    Advantageous Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business, business law, paralegal studies, or related field.
    • Previous experience within the Architecture / Engineering / Construction industry.
    • Prior experience programming or developing database and workflow systems such as DocuWare, DocuSign, or a similar document management solution.
    • Previous experience with enterprise resource planning systems (Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint preferred).
    • General understanding of commercial insurance programs, especially those typically maintained by professional design services companies.
    • Familiarity with state and federal acquisition requirements as they relate to professional design services.
