IT Contracts Manager creates, writes, negotiates and reviews hardware or software licensing contracts. Works with the Business Development team in establishing agreements that reflect the interests of partners and the company. Being an IT Contracts Manager also works with legal counsel when drafting licensing agreements. Ensures contract performance and rewrites or amends as necessary. Additionally, IT Contracts Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Must have a solid understanding of web technology. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Contracts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Responsible for all contract actions and documentation. Preparing front end documents, conduct pre-qualification of contractors, bid advertisements, manage bidding, prepare all vendor and construction contracts, maintain the contract log.
Manage and input data into the cost database, prepare change order documentation for District approvals, prepare notice of awards and notice to proceeds. Quality control on contract files.
