A Day in the life of an IT Support Internship: 

There are various activities that run simultaneously in this faster paced environment. These duties require specialized technical problem solving and ingenuity while working within approved organizational systems and technology, and the demonstration of the values of integrity, quality and caution.  These duties include installing and maintaining computer systems including software and hardware on desktops and laptops, resolving internet and network access issues (both wired and wireless), providing network printer support, meeting with other team members to develop one-on-one technical expertise   as needed/requested, determining causes of computer/software/network malfunctions through evaluation and testing and resolution via modifications, repair, or external support assistance.

Qualifications: 

You should be comfortable with the following work conditions and other considerations: 

• Candidate should have reliable transportation 
• Candidate should be willing to work nights and weekends 
• Candidate should be able to lift 50 or more pounds 
• Candidate should be able to provide exceptional customer service 
• Candidate should have solid troubleshooting skills,  
• Candidate should have the ability to work well in a team environment, 
• Candidate should have excellent oral and written communications skills and the ability to work under minimal supervision. 
• Candidate Must be available to work a minimum of 10-16 hours per week. 
• Candidate must maintain A GPA of 3.0 or above 
• Candidate must have Proficiency in computer applications: 

o Microsoft Excel – Manipulation of data; transferring data; development of 

charts and tables 

o Microsoft Word – Entering and formatting text; inserting charts, tables, and 

other visuals 

o Microsoft PowerPoint – Creating and editing slides; inserting text, charts, 

tables, and visuals 

o Conducting research via internet
