Position Summary
The position of Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting the Banks servers, computers, applications, users and technical products and services; maintains information and data systems of the bank by overseeing server requirements; manages and migrates servers; administers VMware environment; installs server software/applications; monitors server health/performance; reviews/tests backups; patches systems; manages cloud-based servers, and documents changes.
The Assistant IT Manager performs all duties of the Systems Administrator and works with the helpdesk and network teams to resolve issues. As Assistant IT Manager, this individual works closely with the IT Director/CIO on information technology and information security projects and tasks; assists in strategic plans; makes budget recommendations; and ensures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Essential Duties
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree, or equivalent education from a technical or trade school; or TIME PERIOD related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of a technical background in information resources, products or services.
Basic knowledge of Bank operations and lending products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures.
Progressive experience with personal and mainframe computer systems, including network administration, supervision or auditing.
Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation and troubleshooting techniques; mainframe computer system; software programs of diverse functionality used by the Bank, including but not limited to, desktop applications and network administrative programs and resources.
Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports, correspondence and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
Demonstrate strong analytical and project management skills for a variety of tasks or projects.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work with minimal or no supervision while performing duties.
Current Texas drivers license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities
