    • You’ll become well-versed in Windows Servers, Nutanix, ESXI, along with other technologies.

    Typical Day: You will provide all aspects of desktop support for the customer: troubleshooting, password resets and all other customer support activities.

    Tasks:

    • Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server 2019, Windows 10, and Linux and system networking is required.
    • Install, configure, and maintain operating system workstations and servers, including web servers.
    • Provide availability posture metrics of servers.
    • Perform operating systems software installations and upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.
    • Schedule and maintain installations and upgrades.
    • Monitor and tune systems.
    • Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
    • Ensure data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
    • Support media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services.
    • Develop and execute standard operating procedures.
    • Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations and servers.
    • Prepare and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation.
    • Manage all Storage Area Network (SAN) and backup servers and services.
    • Coordinate disk space planning and management.
    • Implement approved changes to the current BOD systems and networks and properly respond to dynamic and urgent operational needs as directed.
    • Coordinate changes to the networks with the BOD and other Government agencies.
    • Monitor and maintain continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements.
    • Implement and maintain all relevant Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGs) on all enterprise application servers (file storage, database, etc.).
    • Assist with preparing the required accreditation documentation.
    • Conduct and facilitate contingency exercises (tabletop, full failover, etc.).

    Requirements:

    • Education: Associates’ s Degree in computer science, information science, engineering, business, or related scientific or technical discipline or equivalent in accordance with Education/Experience.
    • Education Substitution: Two (2) years’ experience (in addition to minimum experience requirements) may be substituted for an Associate’s degree.
    • Experience: Five (5) Years.
    • Install, configure, and support systems, subsystems, and components. Performs work in or on operations, networks, databases, or hardware.
    • Understand all technical aspects of the system in detail including but not limited to software/database operation, hardware, system configurations, network architecture, system architecture., systems interfaces, and protocols.
    • Operational monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Maintain the system, network, hardware, and software. Monitor systems and network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
    • Interfaces with engineering and program management. Interfaces with hardware and software vendors to obtain technical information and assistance.
    • Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures. Implements information assurance and information security activities and protocols.
    • Defines and executes installation or tear down, start-up, testing, shutdown, and recovery processes for systems and components.
    • Selected packing / unpacking activities of equipment to facilitate installation or tear down.
    • May supervise other network support and client server specialists.

    **** Required Certifications: IAT Level II (Security CE, GSEC, SSCP) ****

    • Security clearance/IT access requirement – Secret/IT level – II.
    • Investigation requirement – favorably completed NACLC.
    • Computing Environment (CE) Certifications are to be determined by the government upon final job assignment.
    • Ability to lift and move desktop equipment.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience in server virtualization technologies (ESX, ESXi, VSphere, etc.).
    • Extensive working knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation, Linux, fiber channel (Brocade, Cisco, etc.), and Database administration (SQL).
    • Experience in server installation configuration and management of enterprise servers (Windows, Unix, SQL, etc.), storage solutions (SAN, iSCSI, etc.), networking, and disaster recovery solutions.

    Shift & Work Schedule:

    • Day Shift
    • The position has the flexibility for employees to work either 8 hours for 5 days and/or 10 hours for 4 days at the Project Manager’s discretion.

    Clearance:       US Secret clearance required

    Citizenship:      Current US Citizenship required
