Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The IT Procurement Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Job Description

    OMW Corporation is currently seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join our IT/MIS team in Novato, CA. The IT Technician position within the IT/MIS team will be on the front lines of OMW’s IT systems support. As the face of IT, the IT Technician must have strong technical troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills and be willing to interface with a combination of both technical and non-technical departments. The primary task of this position will be to troubleshoot and resolve endpoint issues, install, and support the systems, and assist with the day-to-day operations of OMW’s IT infrastructure.

     

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Provide onsite and remote support for organization, responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of computer and mobile device hardware and software issues, telephony, printers, and networking.
    • Maintain data backups, Active Directory and Windows server environments.
    • Maintain and implement new services via Amazon’s AWS Cloud.
    • Work with Linux OS, administrative tools, and file system management.
    • Maintain and install various wireless technologies (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, RFID).
    • Maintain and work with wired infrastructure (e.g., CAT6, LC fiber).
    • Create, edit, and improve technical articles, KB’s and other procedures for systems at OMW Corporation.
    • Support the management & executive teams in implementing the best practices and policy of CMCC & NIST.
    • Support and maintain Google Business Suite.
    • Maintain a safe and LEAN work environment, including performing housekeeping duties.
    • Maintains and promotes a safe and clean working environment.
    • Meets attendance and punctuality standards.
    • Additional duties as assigned.


    Job Requirements:

    • Minimum of 4 years of experience with desktop support experience.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience within a Windows and Linux environment.
    • Excellent customer service skills, strong attention to details with excellent follow-up.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
    • Ability to establish priorities and manage workload effectively and efficiently.
    • Must be organized.
    • Must be willing to be onsite full-time.
    • Working with Scripting – Python or PowerShell etc. (a plus, not required).
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, especially through email and interpersonal communication.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Good problem solving and prioritizing skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to follow both writing and verbal instructions.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
    • Experience working with ERP systems is a plus.

     

    Education & Experience:

    • AS or BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, etc. or equivalent experience.
