Title: SQL database administrator

Duration: 1 Year contract

Rate: DOE

Work location will be a combination of onsite work at the client s office in Tallahassee, Florida and remote work based on situation, to be defined on a project basis. *** (Local/Regional candidates preferred.) ***

Roles & Responsibility:

• Provide MS SQL & Oracle database administration inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Provide SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers.
• Provide configuration management (TFS administration) for SQL database objects.
• Provide change management in a code promotion role in partnership with development team.
• Provide configuration management for SSRS reports and associated database objects.
• Provide analytical services on systems to implement user-defined requirements.
• Provide analytical services on systems to identify operational efficiencies.
• Facilitate collecting system requirements with the business program staff.
• Produce work estimates to implement user-defined requirements.
• Perform testing on system changes to meet user-defined requirements.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with the business program staff.
• Produce status reports on the implementation of user-defined requirements.
• Provide emergency after hours and weekend support for database systems.
• Provide maintenance and support by applying updates and/or upgrades to database infrastructure environments.

Minimum Experience Required:

Oracle-related

• 4 years experience with Oracle Database Server.
• 4 years experience as Oracle database administrator inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.

MS SQL-related

• 7 years experience with MS SQL products inclusive of MS SQL 2008.
• 7 years experience as MS SQL database administrator inclusive of data design/modeling, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• 7 years experience with SQL programming inclusive of stored procedures, functions, triggers, SSIS packages, scheduled jobs, and linked servers.
• 7 years experience with SQL relational databases, OLTP and DSS, serving in high performance, service-oriented, multi-tiered environments.
• 3 years experience with configuration management (TFS administration) for SQL database objects.
• 5 years experience with database design tools.
• 5 years configuration management of SSRS reports and associated database objects.
• 5 years experience in change management best practices, serving in a code promotion role in partnership with development team.

Education:

• Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis and additional relevant education may substitute for the recommended experience on a year-for-year basis.
