IT Procurement Manager leads and manages all phases of the IT procurement function. Evaluates and identifies the needs of the organization and stakeholders. Being an IT Procurement Manager defines clear and specific requirements for equipment and services. Researches suppliers and directs the sourcing process. Additionally, IT Procurement Manager negotiates contracts, pricing, terms, and service level agreements. Establishes standards and policies for efficient and fair procurement practices. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Procurement Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Procurement Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Our client is looking to add a procurement specialist to their team for a new project.
Hybrid Remote in Owings Mills.
Hours, M-F 8am-5pm.
About the role:
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• 2-3 years Purchasing/Procurement experience
• Understanding of P2P
• 1-2 years’ experience with procurement/purchasing technology
• eProcurement experience: Coupa/Ariba
• Oracle financials experience
Preferred
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar preferred
• Demonstrated experience with and strong understanding of contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools and practices; CLM “super user” or implementation experience helpful; reporting and analysis experiences
• Comprehensive knowledge of business contracts terms, and ability to interpret legal and business terms and clauses across contract types, including non-disclosure agreements, events management agreements, etc.
• 2 years hands-on contract management experience, working with contract r processes
• 2 years strong technical skills that can be directly applied to managing various document types in Contract Lifecycle Management systems or Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems
• Strong business insight and judgment on maintaining contract integrity and CLM governance and controls
• Willingness to successfully balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Enjoys a hands-on role when working through contracts management challenges and opportunities
