Procurement Managers at the corporate office or sites are accountable for overall continuity and successful delivery of procure-to-pay tasks, issue resolution and management interfaces. Through close alignment with Global Procurement Leadership Team, and Site Leadership Teams, the Procurement Manager is responsible for assuring customer satisfaction with Global Procurement at the sites.
Chevron Phillips is currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our team for the new Golden Triangle Polymers Company facility in Orange, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience to startup and run a new facility from the ground up. This position will be assigned to the project location in Orange, TX and will transition to ongoing operations following commissioning and startup with an expected commitment through stable start-up operations.
The Procurement Manager is accountable for overall continuity and successful delivery of site specific procure-to-pay tasks, issues, and management interfaces for the site. Through close alignment with the site leadership teams, the Procurement Manager is responsible for assuring customer satisfaction with Global Procurement at the site. This position will have an in-depth understanding of business requirements and ensure the supply base maximizes service delivery, while at the same time reducing maverick and ad hoc purchases. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for driving adoption of sourcing strategies internally as well as ensuring compliance with key processes and supplier contracts. This position also has leadership responsibility for the Plant Materials Management Team, and to ensure the facility’s inventory is optimized. This individual is the primary liaison and communication hub between site personnel, key suppliers and center-led departments of Global Procurement.
