We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Procurement Manager to join our team in the Hospitality industry. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in construction procurement and purchasing to a range of projects. You will be responsible for managing all procurement activities related to construction, including direct purchasing techniques and demand planning. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a specific focus on hospitality construction and purchasing. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage all procurement activities related to construction projects, ensuring all purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner.
2. Develop and implement direct purchasing strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
3. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to plan, forecast, and manage demand for materials and services.
4. Oversee the procurement process for hospitality construction projects, ensuring all purchases meet quality standards and project requirements.
5. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing disputes as necessary.
6. Implement and monitor procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
7. Coordinate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of procurement activities.
8. Identify and manage risks associated with procurement activities, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and practices.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction procurement, with a specific focus on hospitality construction purchasing.
3. Proven experience in project management and demand planning.
4. Strong knowledge of direct purchasing techniques and strategies.
5. Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and prices.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to forecast demand and analyze procurement data.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
9. Knowledge of procurement regulations and standards in the finance industry.
10. Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
