IT Procurement Manager leads and manages all phases of the IT procurement function. Evaluates and identifies the needs of the organization and stakeholders. Being an IT Procurement Manager defines clear and specific requirements for equipment and services. Researches suppliers and directs the sourcing process. Additionally, IT Procurement Manager negotiates contracts, pricing, terms, and service level agreements. Establishes standards and policies for efficient and fair procurement practices. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Procurement Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Procurement Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, Procurement Manager to join our North Florida TEAM.

    Responsibilities

    • Timely purchase and delivery of logs for respective Sawmill.
    • Manage log quality program
    • Manage the overall cost of delivered logs in line with the local market.
    • Woodyard operations
    • Budget preparation
    • Forecasting and Analysis
    • Seasonal inventory management
    • Daily problem solving
    • Team building
    • Timely communication to stakeholders.
    • Mentoring and Coaching
    • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Four (4) year degree in Forestry, Agriculture Science, Wood Products, Supply Chain/Logistics, or Business with 3-year experience or a minimum of 7 years experience in Forestry.
    • Safety Oriented
    • Effective written and verbal communication.
    • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check


    Preferred skills

    • 2 Transactional negotiation experience
    • Familiar with SFI requirements and state best management practices
    • Experience with mapping software such as ARC MAP
