    Position Concept

    Under the general direction of the AVP, Financial Services performs experienced professional work in planning, organizing and managing the procurement of commodities, supplies and services in support of the College’s purchasing activities. Serves as the College’s contract manager.

    Minimum Qualifications

    The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field with at least five years of experience working in Procurement.
    • Or an Associate’s degree with procurement or contract certification and five years of experience working in Procurement; or an Associate’s degree with ten years of experience working in Procurement.
    • Experience with procurement functions and systems, formal procurement solicitations, good interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication skills, ability to work under pressure, and use standard office software.
    • Requires enterprise software system input, data, deliverables, and contact with internal and external customers.
    • Delivers consistent, reliable, auditable and realistic information.
    • Thorough knowledge of purchasing/procurement laws, rules and regulations.
    • Certification as a Certified Public Professional Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), NIGP – Certified Procurement Professional (NIGP-CPP), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), or the ability to obtain within two (2) years of employment.
    • Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
    • This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fee (currently $37.25).This fingerprinting fee ($37.25) is non-refundable.

    • High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.

    Minimum physical qualifications:

    • Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 20 pounds.
    • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
    • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information and/or data from computer.
    • Ability to work inside an office environment.
    • May require certain field work and travel in support of the College’s Facilities Services.
