IT Procurement Manager leads and manages all phases of the IT procurement function. Evaluates and identifies the needs of the organization and stakeholders. Being an IT Procurement Manager defines clear and specific requirements for equipment and services. Researches suppliers and directs the sourcing process. Additionally, IT Procurement Manager negotiates contracts, pricing, terms, and service level agreements. Establishes standards and policies for efficient and fair procurement practices. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Procurement Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Procurement Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team that will lead the procurement for all corporate functions (IT, HR, Legal, Finance)
- Develop and implement sourcing strategy to keep contracts and offerings competitive for the corporate functions
- Lead sustainable procurement for the company including partnering with Director of Sustainability and representing AdvanSix in external organizations such as Together for Sustainability (TfS)
- Oversee tactical purchasing for all corporate functions, including the issuance of purchase orders and/or payment of invoices
- Negotiate with suppliers to draw up procurement contracts; includes the negotiation, administration, extending, termination, and renegotiation of contracts
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations
- Lead continuous improvement opportunities to improve upon total cost and address issues with supplier performance
- Create and manage metrics necessary to ensure customer satisfaction and the company’s competitiveness
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 8 years of experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at different levels across the organization; excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to champion a cause and collaborate cross functionally to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
- Travel may be required
