Production Facility Quality Control Inspector

    Overview

    Come grow with us by joining our team as a Production Facility Quality Control Inspector!  In this role, you will play a critical role for the company and will work alongside other professionals within the team and other departments. You will be responsible for conducting inspections on all completed vehicles at the Goshen IN Forest River Bus location, confirming quality expectations set by Model 1. This position is responsible for making sure every vehicle that completes at the Forest River Bus production facility is correct, utilizing the approved build sheet and the unit is up to Model 1 Quality Standards. This position will work closely with the Forest River Pre delivery Inspection Team. This person will conduct inspections and report any changes, faults, concerns, or alterations to the Forest River PDI Team for repair. If Forest River has any concerns with completing the repairs this position will relay this information to the Model 1 QC manager. This specific QC position will also be responsible for Checking the units into the Model 1 computer system.

    Responsibilities

    Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:

    • Review Factory build sheets to perform quality inspections on all busses produced by Forest River for Model 1.
    • Following the Quality control inspection the list of discrepancies and concerns will be given to the Fores River PDI team for correction.
    • Responsible for completing quality control form and ensuring all corrections are completed per Model 1 quality standards.
    • Document all inspection findings into Model 1 software system.
    • Check the unit into the Model 1 computer system giving the unit our unit number.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Job Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 3-5 year’s Industry Experience
    • Technical knowledge of the characteristics and maintenance needs of a wide variety of transit and mechanical equipment.
    • Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of shop operations
    • Valid Driver’s License
    • Strong Initiative
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Good problem-solving skills
    • Capable of time management

    • May be required to do frequent kneeling, stooping, squatting, crawling, and climbing to perform multiple tasks of position.
