Position Summary
- Tax Managers should have well-developed leadership, interpersonal, technology, communication, and analytical skills.
- Tax Managers are expected to develop on both a personal and professional level during their tenure with the company.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Business entity and complex personal tax return preparation.
- Review tax returns and the work of the accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completeness & provide feedback to staff.
- Manage workloads and delegate tax work to staff. Monitor tax deadlines to ensure preparedness.
- Perform assessments and offer solutions to clients.
- Oversee various project-based work.
- Conduct research and planning then make recommendations to the Partners.
- Identify and recommend new business opportunities for the firm.
- Business development and manage client relationships.
- Provide assistance to Partners on project-based work.
- Acts as a resource for interns and tax staff & establishes good working relationships with all staff members.
WORKSITE LOCATION & CONDITIONS
- This position is based in our Oneonta office and may offer the flexibility to work remotely on an as-needed basis.
- This is a full-time position, forty (40) hours per week, with additional hours as needed. Additional hours required during tax season.
- Travel to client locations may be required. Mileage is reimbursable per the IRS mileage rate.
