JOB SUMMARY:  Manage the collection, assessment, analysis, and presentation of data to meet the mission and regulatory goals and is under the direction of the Director of Quality.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Assist the facility’s Quality Division staff, programs, and initiatives in a manner that fulfills the mission and strategic goals of IHS and the Clinton service unit.
• Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks associated with maintaining and supporting the work performed within a department.
• Receives, assesses, routes, or otherwise handle incoming and outgoing materials such as controlled or routine correspondence, reports, memoranda and other forms of written communication.
• Manages the appointment and meeting schedule for the department of the organizational unit served.
• Performs duties which include the preparation of reoccurring reports, forms, correspondence and presentation materials including complex graphs, charts, and tabular material.
• Assist with compiling Quality Division reports for review.
• Retrieves and compiles quality data with extreme timeliness and accuracy.
• Prepare statistical summaries and User Population reports required to support health services delivery, planning, and facility performance.
• Analyzes clinical and service trend data, identifies variations in evidenced-based patient care and sub-standard performance.
• Identifies and analyzes issues, problems and challenges facing Quality Management.
• Maintains databases used for data retrieval and reporting.
• Promote and maintain cooperative relationships with physicians, nursing personnel, bio medical engineers, and security personnel.
• Collaborates with service unit to maintain survey readiness.
• Serves on service unit wide committees.
• Receives, refers, and interacts with persons within and outside the immediate organizational unit including staff of other Federal organizations, private industry, and the general public.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Background check required.
