Technology Instructor - Integrated IT and Networking
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic technology instructor to join our team in a full-time, temporary capacity. The technology instructor will be responsible for teaching classes and implementing workshops based on the curriculum of CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft 365 and other technology topics to our IT program participants. The ideal candidate should have experience in teaching, excellent communication skills, and experience using various types of technology.
Duration:
12 Weeks (Temporary Full-Time Position with potential opportunity to continue beyond)
Responsibilities:
● Plan and prepare lessons and workshops based on the technology curriculum topics, including but not limited to: Networking, Microsoft 365, desktop and help desk support
● Deliver engaging and comprehensive training sessions on Microsoft 365, IT helpdesk support, and networking.
● Deliver engaging and interactive classes and workshops to individuals and groups of students’
● Monitor and evaluate students’ progress, provide feedback and support as needed
● Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in technology to ensure that classes are up-to-date and relevant
● Collaborate with other instructors and the technology team to develop and improve class materials and curriculum
● Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
● Provide excellent customer service to students and handle any inquiries or concerns related to the classes.
● Provide additional support as needed to help students prepare and pass certification exams and be prepared for job placement opportunities
Requirements:
● Industry certifications in Microsoft 365, IT helpdesk support, and networking (e.g.,
CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) or equivalent preferred
● Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching technology classes or comparable.
● Excellent communication and presentation skills.
● Ability to explain concepts in a relatable way to individuals with little to no previous IT experience
● Experience working with diverse populations in terms of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, etc.
● Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Experience with online teaching platforms is a plus.
● Proven experience as a trainer or instructor in a technology-related field.
● Strong knowledge of various technology topics, including networking, Microsoft Suite, and desktop repair & support
● Familiarity with IT helpdesk support principles and practices.
● Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols.
