  • SUMMARY:

    Management level position providing business unit leadership of production activities as they apply to the manufacture of electromechanical clutch and brake products, for industrial and aerospace / defense applications. Responsibilities include providing hands-on leadership for improvement activities and maintenance of all key performance indicators relative to the production. Develop processes and controls to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of safety, work place organization, internal and external quality, on time delivery, productivity and inventory. Oversee activities of assigned production personnel. Work with peers across the entire operations team and sales/engineering organization. Develop and mentor operators in the areas of problem solving, RBS initiatives, and developing a colaborative learning environment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead all activities relating to production performance;
    • Continually improve safety record by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety behaviors. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas.
    • Coaching Team Leaders and associates in areas where development is needed;
    • Actively support the implementation of Regal's Business System/ Lean manufacturing processes;
    • Develop, implement, and maintain improvement initiatives within the production;
    • Support compliance to the Inertia Dynamics Management System and ISO9001 requirements;
    • Coordinate activities of production personnel and guide them in their development;
    • As required, coordinate and actively support corporate management / Regal business unit initiatives

    • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, TPS, 6 Sigma, or similar improvement methods
    • Supervisory experience in dynamic environment
