Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with a leading global manufacturer of engineered fasteners, shims, installation machines, and feeding equipment, in its search for a Production Control Manager in Danielson, CT. The Production Control Manager is responsible for the planning of all supply chain / manufacturing processes and activities within the product group, which includes raw materials and inventory management, production planning and scheduling, and following through on manufacturing statuses to ensure on time delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:
⮞ Interprets company sales forecasts and new product plans and establishes corollary manufacturing, inventory, manpower and purchasing plans to assure an adequate and timely supply of manufactured products to meet customer and inventory demand.
⮞ Assures high levels of customer service by maintaining competitive delivery schedules. Coordinates with manufacturing management and functions as the primary contact for order creation and order fulfillment personnel on a global basis to ensure customers are adequately informed of order status so that our business exceeds customer expectations.
⮞ Maintains materials and parts inventories that are appropriate to ensure fulfillment of production schedules without unnecessary inventory expense.
⮞ Establishes the most efficient and cost effective production schedule for the team, including determining methods and equipment. Determines preliminary job assignment of labor resources available and the effective prioritization to balance cost and responsiveness when there are limitations.
⮞ Creates, monitors and manages the overall job plan and is responsible for working with manufacturing management to exceed or the plan as it relates to on time delivery.
⮞ Participates in the Annual planning process, in working with the Operations Manager, develops the annual capacity plan, master production plan, raw material procurement plan and finished goods inventory plan.
Professional and Personal Requirements:
⮞ A technical degree (preferably a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering) or a business related field (Supply Chain Management, International Business), with sufficient demonstrated technical capability.
⮞ In-depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and fluency with ERP, MRP and Analysis tools is required, along with a demonstrated understanding of purchasing practices and supply chain management practices.
⮞ 10 years’ of progressive business experience in industrial markets, with a “working management” approach, with the ability to juggle several matters at the same time with a very hands-on, ownership approach.
⮞ Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, evaluate solutions, build and communicate a plan to all relevant parties, including cost analysis, and execution of approved plans using and leading internal and external resources.
⮞ Management skill understanding of the science of management as it relates to planning, organization, control and motivation, and the ability to apply this science within the organizational environment.
